International Debut For Sabah Duo

Kota Kinabalu: State Junior golfers Christopher Daniel James and Tham Soot Yuet are set to make their international debut with the recent call-up by the Ministry to represent Malaysia in the 7th Asean School Games in Brunei from Nov 21-19.
Their inclusion in the eight-member national team was based on their good outing at the Malaysia Schools Sports Council (MSSM) National Golf Championship held in Penang's Bukit Jawi Golf Resort back in June.
Christopher, 14, who is a Form Two student at SM All Saints, was the champion in the boys under-15 category and he also helped Sabah to win silver in the team event while Tham from SM Tshung Tshin, who is sitting for her SPM right now, won bronze in the girls under-18.
Both players are currently shortlisted for the Kuching Sukma Games squad.
The duo will leave for the national capital on Nov 20 to join their teammates before departing for the Sultanate on Nov 21.
They are unlikely to take part in the 10th Sabah International Junior Masters this Thursday even though their names are on the list.
